Travellers originating in South Africa will now have greater flexibility when it comes to visiting Victoria Falls. Proflight Zambia has announced that it will double the frequency on its Livingstone-Lusaka route from 1 April 2025 to twice-daily flights. This means that early afternoon and evening services will help those arriving from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and Cape Town International Airport. The greater flexibility will also reduce transit times for those wanting to stay in Livingstone to explore the Victoria Falls and Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park.
Other safari high season adjustments by Proflight include flights to Mfuwe to access South Luangwa National Park, and connecting Lusaka to Mansa (for the Bangweulu wetland, a shoebill stronghold) and Kasama (for the Chisimba Falls).
