ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATION

Kutandala Camp was a beloved, rustic bush camp, previously owned and run by Rod and Gus Tether. After their final season in 2010, the Tether family moved abroad, and the camp was taken down, allowing the site to return to its natural state. Now, 15 years later, Classic Zambia Safaris is excited to reintroduce Kutandala Camp in 2025, ushering in a new era while honoring its storied past.

True to the spirit of the original, we will continue to offer immersive walking safaris, but with exciting additions like game drives and hide-based wildlife viewing. With a particular focus on spotting signs of the elusive Black Rhino, our new offerings blend seamlessly with the camp’s heritage. Guests can also look forward to exceptional cuisine and warm hospitality, all delivered with our signature respect for the wild surroundings. Classic Zambia Safaris brings a fresh yet familiar experience to Kutandala, creating a perfect balance of adventure, comfort, and authentic connection to nature.
