KUYENDA BUSHCAMP
The camp features six raised, thatched rondavel chalets and a central lounge and dining area, all surrounded by shady trees.
Each chalet opens onto a private deck and has an en-suite outdoor bathroom with a double vanity and hand-carved stone sinks. Simple yet comfortable, the camp offers an authentic bush experience in a stunning location.
Kuyenda is perfectly placed for wildlife viewing, with the surrounding plains attracting a variety of animals. The nearby riverbed often acts as a natural wildlife corridor. The camp’s welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, attentive staff, and expert guiding make it a favorite for returning guests.
Activities include morning walking safaris or game drives, along with an afternoon/evening game drive each day.

Mfuwe Lodge has 18 chalets, a 2-bedroom family unit, a pool, curio shop, and spa. KuKaya features five 2-bedroom villas and one single villa, all with extra sleeping space, private pools, firepits, and a private guide and vehicle is included for each villa. The six Bushcamps are in the park’s remote southern area, each with just 4 chalets for an exclusive experience.
South Luangwa is known for its walking safaris, offering a unique view of the bush. Many guests enjoy morning walks at the Bushcamps, and for the ultimate walking experience, they can walk between camps. We also offer extra guides and vehicles for those who prefer game drives. Private guides are available for even more flexibility. The average guest stay is 7 to 10 nights, often at a combination of properties.
Mfuwe Lodge is famous for the elephants that walk through reception each October to December to reach the wild mango tree in the courtyard.
The Bushcamp Company supports several conservation and community initiatives. We provide significant funding to Conservation South Luangwa, supporting their anti-snaring and anti-poaching efforts, and also to the Zambian Carnivore Programme.
Through our Commit to Clean Water program, we have drilled nearly 300 boreholes in the Mfuwe area, providing safe drinking water to nearly 75,000 people daily. Our Meal-a-Day program feeds over 4,000 schoolchildren each day, and our Education Scholarships support over 350 students each year from primary to tertiary education.
