LOLELUNGA PRIVATE RESERVE

Lolelunga Private Reserve is a pioneering conservation initiative that harmoniously blends wildlife preservation with sustainable tourism. Strategically located on the banks of the Lunga River, just 30 kilometres north of Kafue National Park, this exclusive reserve offers unparalleled biodiversity and an unspoiled wilderness experience.

Once ravaged by poaching, deforestation, dynamite fishing, and indiscriminate logging, the area has been meticulously restored into Zambia’s first fully fenced private reserve. Through dedicated conservation efforts, Lolelunga has successfully reintroduced a variety of indigenous species, including the iconic Big 5, and is proud to be home to rare and endangered wildlife such as cheetahs, pangolins, and the elusive sitatunga antelope.

Guests are invited to experience the raw beauty and exhilarating freedom of the African wilderness. Explore the crystal-clear waters of the Lunga River, where spotted-neck otters play, hippos nap, elephants bathe, and crocodiles and monitor lizards bask in the sun. Spend a magical night under the stars on the Ngoma Deck and set your own rhythm for each day.

Accommodating just 14 guests all with river-facing views, the reserve offers an intimate and immersive safari experience suitable for all travellers, including families with children.
