Vaccinated travellers will no longer be required to present a negative PCR test result in order to gain entry into Zambia.

Last week, (Friday 25 March 2022,) the country’s president, Hakainde Hichilema, welcomed the update to Zambia’s travel requirements, adding that a 50% reduction in visa fees had also been announced, along with other efforts by the Ministry of Tourism effort to boost local tourism.

While vaccinated travellers no longer need a negative PCR test to enter the country, unvaccinated travellers still need to submit a negative PCR test taken within a period of 72 hours before departure.

Proflight Zambia reported that passengers transiting through Lusaka must also adhere to these new regulations.
